SU's Antwan Cordy Returns To The Field As A Leader

Antwan Cordy met with the media Thursday morning, explaining his desire to return to the field this season.

With spring practice in full swing for Syracuse football, players that missed parts of the 2016 season have been able to quench their thirst for contact. Antwan Cordy is not just back in pads after missing ten games last season with a forearm injury, the redshirt junior returns as a leader on the SU defense. Cordy is already feeling the extra burden of being a leader amongst the defensive backs.

"Everybody looks up to me in the [defensive back] room," said Cordy. "So, if i do something wrong, then it's going to be like what's going on."

In his sophomore season, Cordy started all 12 games and set an Orange football record for most tackles for loss in a season by a defensive back (12). He also was second on the team in tackles (68) and a defensive touchdown.
