19-year-old shot in the chest after fight in Syracuse
Investigators in Syracuse say a teenager was shot in the chest after a fight Thursday night.
Officers said it happened on Rider Avenue around 10:25 p.m.
Police responded for reports of a shooting, and when they arrived, they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.
Syracuse Police said an investigation revealed the victim was in some sort of fight with an unknown man, which led to the victim being shot.
The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital. He's expected to be okay.
Right now, there's no word on a suspect.
