2 Manlius police officers assaulted

Two Manlius police officers had to be taken to the hospital for treatment after they were assaulted Monday. Police only revealed the incident late Wednesday evening in a prepared news release.

Investigators say the officers were responding to a complaint of a petit larceny at a local drug store when they were assaulted by the suspect. Police are not revealing which drug store, or where the assault of the officers happened.

The suspect
is Bartosz Korytkowski, 20, of Manlius. He's charged with assault, resisting arrest, petit larceny and more.

Korytkowski was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $15,000 cash
bail. Both officers were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police did not provide a mug shot of the suspect because they say they don't have one at this point. "Due to his uncooperative nature, we didn't do a mug shot, but we will bring him back for that," Sgt. Jeffrey T. Slater said. The names of the officers involved are not being released by police.
