Two people hurt in multi-car accident in Lysander

LYSANDER, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a three car accident.

It happened at on Oswego Road at 5:12 a.m. Thursday morning. Troopers say a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 2011 Hyandai were traveling south when a 2014 Chevrolet failed to yield the right of way while trying to turn off of Oswego Road onto Short Cut Road and collided with the pickup. The collision caused the trailing Hyundai to also strike the pickup truck, which went off the road and caught fire.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 58-year-old Roger Clark from Oswego, was taken to SUNY Upstate with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyndai was not injured.

State police say the driver of the 2014 Chevrolet, identified as 34-year-old Daniel Ramsey of Cato, was also taken to SUNY Upstate for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Ramsey was issued a traffic summons for failure to yield right of way when making a left turn, state police said.
