6-year-old writes book to send a message to bullies
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
Some people who work in downtown Syracuse are now holding copies of a book with an important message that was written by a six-year-old.
Emmanuel Israel was at the AXA Towers Monday. His father grew up in Syracuse and brought his son back to Central New York from North Carolina on a book tour.
Emmanuel's first book is called, "The Field Trip Bully" and the message to bullies is clear.
"If, um, they still bully, the teacher is going to tell the principal," Emmanuel said.
Emmanuel's Father said his son was bullied in kindergarten and that was the inspiration for his main character "Harry Hazberry" who uses his leadership skills to stop a bully.
Emmanuel is already thinking about making it a series of books.
