Authorities say they will resume their search of a 350-acre farm in Wayne County for 14-month-old Owen Hidalgo-Calderon on Saturday morning.

Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts said multiple agencies are also prepared to search on Sunday if Saturday's efforts are unsuccessful. If Owen is not found on Sunday, multiple agencies will meet to determine what the long-term search plan will be, Virts said.

On Friday evening Virts said there is little hope Owen has survived this long.

"As a grandfather and as a father I'd like to say my heart tells me that we will find young Owen, but my experience in law enforcement - what I've seen in the interviews that I've seen personally - I believe that this will be a recovery," Virts said.

An AMBER Alert was issued for the missing boy Friday morning, two days after his mother was found dead in a wooded area in Sodus.

In an update to the alert Friday afternoon, officials said Owen was possibly last seen with Alberto Ebavardo Gutierrez Reyes on or around May 16.

Authorities said Owen's mother Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, 18, was found in the woods near her home on Joy Road in Sodus on Wednesday morning. Investigators shared the revelation during a news conference Thursday night.

Dozens of people took part in an extensive search of the 350-acre farm that Virts said is the focus of the search, however nothing was found at the farm. Virts did say investigators had found a cell phone along State Route 104; it's believed the phone may have been discarded by Reyes while he was being transported by an unnamed third party to Attica, however that is yet to be confirmed. Virts said investigators are trying to secure a search warrant to determine if the phone belongs to Reyes.

14-month-old Owen is described as approximately two feet tall and weighing about 30 lbs. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. The AMBER Alert says Owen first went missing at 9:48 a.m. on May 16 in what is being investigated as an abduction by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Owen is known to need asthma medication. The alert says Owen has disappeared under circumstances that lead police to believe he may be in imminent danger.

Hidalgo-Calderon's boyfriend, 25-year-old Alberto Ebavardo Gutierrez Reyes, has been taken into custody in connection to her death.

Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts says Reyes told deputies he removed her body from their home and buried her in the woods, but did not admit to killing her.

Anyone with information on Owen's whereabouts is asked to call 1-866-697-2623 or 911.
