Art fundraiser to help opioid-addicted

A funding effort for treating young, opioid-addicted adults is reaching out to the general public to get involved

No question, an opioid addiction is life-changing, not only for the addict but also for his/her family. And it's an expensive habit to kick: most health insurance will not cover a full treatment program.

Enter Road2RecoveryCNY , created by a couple whose son was addicted, aimed at helping other young people who need long-term treatment, but they, or their families cannot afford it.

Fund raising is a major effort, and an event set for this Saturday (November 10th) is the latest: Heart 4 Art offers artwork in different mediums, all 10x10 inches (tabletop or small picture size)...and each is available for $50.
Co-founder Darlene Endy tells us all will be on display at Spark Contemporary Art Center on Syracuse's East Fayette Street, which will also offer music and food (and a cash bar) 6 - 10pm that evening.
