Boil Water Advisory for Jordan, Elbridge

Residents & businesses in the Village of Jordan and parts of the Town of Elbridge need to boil tap water, after coliform bacteria was found in the water supply

Routine water sampling has turned up coliform bacteria in water supplies to the Village of Jordan and parts of the Town of Elbridge.
We have now learned from the Onondaga County Health Department that the 'parts' of Elbridge include Hamilton Road & west, Route 5, Wheeler & Chamberlin Road. Anyone who pays water bills to Jordan is also affected.

There is a Boil Water order for the affected areas: Boil water for one minute and let it cool before using, or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.

The Onondaga County Health Department says water sampling will continue, and the boil water advisory will stay in effect until the samples are coliform-free.

The next sampling for water in the affected area will be on Monday.
