Businesses gearing up for another concert at the Amphitheater
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
Hotels, restaurants, and Central New Yorkers are preparing for Zac Brown Band who will be at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview Saturday night.
"I've seen Zac Brown Band before, and they're absolutely amazing, and just the venue at Lakeview is breathtaking, " Jamie Leszczynski said.
Leszczynski is staying at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, and they say having Zac Brown as the first sold out show this summer is going to be great for them.
"We get busy for the concerts. Lakeview's been doing very great for us, so we're excited about it, sold-out show," Joe Kalil said.
Manager Kalil says the hotel has already had several calls from people wanting rooms or information about the concert. They offer the shuttle passes to the Amphitheater for $4 round trip and the Centro pick up is right across the street on Harrison and South Warren.
"It's doing great for us downtown. All the businesses around here have definitely been splurging especially with the free parking," Kalil added.
Merike Treier works for the Downtown Syracuse Committee and also agrees having a big-time performer coming to this area is great for local businesses.
"It places even more attention on the Syracuse area and so for us in downtown Syracuse an opportunity to build upon the impact those shows are having," Treier said.
They are hoping to make everyone's visit downtown more enjoyable, especially on concert nights.
"It's great to come down grab dinner and drinks beforehand. When they come back after the show, the same thing, dinner, drinks, dessert. Just a great way for people to broaden their experience in Syracuse," she added.
Zac Brown band is scheduled to take the stage Saturday night at 7 p.m.
