CNY Central is pleased to announce it will produce live early morning and noon newscasts starting on Monday, April 13th. CBS5 will also add a permanent week night meteorologist to its newscasts.

Allison Bybee joins the CNY Central news team as the anchor of CBS5 This Morning and the CBS5 News at Noon. Bybee will be joined by Meteorologist Matt Stevens in delivering the news and weather from 5 a.m. - 7a.m. weekday mornings.

Bybee has more than a decade of journalistic experience. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Bybee has served as a reporter at stations in Columbia, MO, Altoona, PA, West Palm Beach, FL and Knoxville, TN. Most recently she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor at News 12 Connecticut. Bybee has received several journalism awards and is nominated for a 2015 New York Emmy for her work on a story about a children's camp.

Meteorologist Matt Stevens has forecasted for CNY Central since 2008. Stevens currently appears with Laura Hand on Weekend Today in Central New York on NBC3. Starting April 13th he will make the transition to CBS5 This Morning.

Bybee and Stevens will also appear on CBS5 News at Noon when it launches on April 13th. CNY Central recognizes our viewers want news at all different times of the day and bringing back our noon newscast will provide them with the very latest Central New York news and weather.

Bybee says, "I believe our new morning show and noon newscasts will be a wonderful addition to the already great line-up of shows airing on CBS5! Expect to see the news that matters most to you right off the top of each newscast, with a little bit of personality sprinkled in to start your day off right!"
