CAMILLUS, N.Y. -- Eight different agencies were called to the scene of house fire earlier this morning, according to Onondaga County 911.
Just before 10:30 a.m. crews rushed to the scene of a home that caught fire on Kathleen Terrace in Camillus.
Solvay Fire Chief Matthew Zingaro said the fire was very extensive in the garage and other parts of the first and second floors of the home when crews arrived to the scene.
One person inside of the home at the time of the fire managed to get out upon arrival of the first responders. Chief Zingara said there was a delay in reports of the fire because the homeowner was trying to get her personal belongings and pets out of the house.
While trying to put out the fire one fire fighter fell into a floor, but was not injured.
At this time fire investigators are working to try to find the cause of the fire.
