Deputies asking for public's help identifying suspect in surveillance photo

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man in surveillance photos.

According to officials, detectives are investigating a suspicious fire that happened at the Syracuse Indoor Soccer Center on May 28.

Deputies along with Liverpool Fire Department and surrounding districts responded to the fire at 4989 Hopkins Road after a passerby saw smoke coming from the back of the building.

When officials arrived, they say there was a small fire at the back entrance of the building. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Detectives investigating the case are asking for help identifying a man seen in surveillance photos seen in the area at the time of the fire.

Deputies say the man might be a witness to how the fire was started.
