Former town highway worker arrested for fraud
A former town of Lenox Highway Department worker is facing charges.
New York State Police arrested Adam Cesario, 36, for tax fraud, offering a false instrument for filing and falsifying business records.
State Police say an investigation revealed that Cesario, while working for the town of Lenox Highway Department, utilized the town’s Tax-Exempt Account to evade sales tax on purchases related to a personally owned auto repair shop. Police say Cesario also claimed on a time sheet to have been working at the town of Lenox Highway Department when he wasn't.
Cesario was issued an appearance ticket to return to court.
