Gas prices up almost a dollar in NY over past year, according to AAA

Don't expect any relief at the gas pump as you plan your summer trip.

The average price of gas in New York is $3.13/gallon. That's up two cents from last week and up almost a dollar in the past year. Last year at this time, the average price of gas was $2.23/gallon.

The average price of gas in Syracuse is $3.12/gallon. That's up six cents since last Monday.

According to AAA, rising crude oil prices could mean higher gas prices this month.
