It is a familiar and tragic scene.

Police investigate another deadly shooting on the corner of Park and John Streets.

This time a 16-year-old boy is dead. His name is Antonio Gullotto.

“I just don’t know how I’m going to go on. He’s a perfect boy. He’s perfect. He played baseball. He cared about his family so deeply," said the boys' mother, Christena Hutchcraft.

Through tears and with a heavy heart, Hutchcraft said her son, Antonio, was the "rock" of her family.

She said a family friend told her the horrific news last night.

Now, she is looking for justice.

She was at the crime scene in hopes of getting answers from police.

“Somebody’s going to pay for this. I know this. Whether the police get him or God takes care of him. Something. Streets. I don’t care. What you did was wrong. It was wrong. You took my life away from me," Hutchcraft said.

Hutchcraft tells us she believes her son was shot and killed in retaliation after he robbed a Syracuse convenience store.

"They knocked on the door. My son opened the door. They shot my son. My son's friend Josiah held his head," Hutchcraft said.

CNYCentral was there when police knocked in a door at a store across the street.

It is unclear who or what they were looking for and if it's related to the shooting.

Hutchcraft said her son's death is the latest in a tragic list of children being shot and killed.

“Obviously, kids dying here. What is going on? I just can’t grasp it. There’s memorials all the way up and down the streets," Hutchcraft said.

There is no word yet on when funeral services will be held for 16-year-old Antonio Gullotto.
