Police: 16-year-old boy stabbed on Teall Avenue; Suspect sought

Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Syracuse.

According to police, officers were called to the 800 block of Teall Avenue around 2:46 p.m. Tuesday in regards to a fight call.

While officers were responding, they were advised that a man had possibly been stabbed during the fight.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a 16-year-old man who was suffering from stab wounds to his upper back area.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment.

The injury does not appear to be life-threatening at this time.

The suspect was described as a black man in his teens, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 feet fall, wearing a white tank top and blue shorts. The suspect led the area on foot toward Herbst Avenue.
