Deputy John Gleason of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office captured incredible photos and video of flooding and ice jams over State Routes 3 and 193 in the town of Ellisburg on Friday morning.

Large chunks of ice and water rushed on top of the roadways, making them impassable. The sheriff's office warns drivers to not attempt to pass through these areas.

Flooding has been causing issues across Central New York Friday; evacuations have been ordered for people in Whitesboro and flooding is making travel difficult on many roads in the Syracuse area.

Several schools have also opted to close early or cancel activities.
