SYARCUSE, N.Y. -- After the first summer concert season at the Lakeview Amphitheater, officials say their high expectations were more than exceeded.
Live Nation shared with Onondaga County that ticket sales were over 200,000 with tickets purchased from all 50 states as well as Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Individuals from all 62 counties in NY State had purchased tickets to the Amphitheater, with 30% of tickets purchased coming from outside of the state. More than half of the tickets purchased from NY state are from zip codes outside of Onondaga County.
Onondaga County Legislature Chairman Ryan McMahon said, “Lakeview Amphitheater is an economic engine for our county," adding he is more than thrilled to see so many people from outside of Onondaga County coming to the Amphitheater and believes these people will be able to see all that Central New York has to offer hoping it will make them return again.
No numbers have been released in regard to revenue from the venue this season.
