The owner of Behind The Iron Gates is retiring and looking to sell her business. Selma Adydan says she’s looking for “a turn key sale,” with a new owner who will continue the businesses.

Behind The Iron Gates is a 21 room, Victorian Painted Lady mansion at 1818 West Genesee Street. It was built in 1881.

On her retirement and the sale of the business, Adydan says, “This does not mean that I will immediately be saying goodbye and that Behind The Iron Gates will be closing.”

Adydan says she is no hurry to sell but is looking forward to stepping away from the work. “I must take some much-needed time to relax, take care of myself and enjoy spending time with my family and all of the wonderful friends I have made,” she said.

The business is listed for $1,195,000.00 and the listing says it is packed “from the attic to basement with literally hundreds of thousands of items.”
