ALBANY, N.Y. -- There is startling new information surrounding the limousine company involved in the crash in Schoharie that left 20 people dead.

According to WRGB-TV, documentation shows Prestige Limousine changed the license plate of the limo involved in the crash. It happened sometime after the company racked up a number of safety violations back last spring.

Back in March, the limo had a license plate starting with "290." When it was inspected last month, the new plate was "TOGALUX1." The limo had the same VIN number in both cases. During the inspection, there were many violations including brake problems. The state says the brake problems were never corrected.
