Lincoln pair arrested on several drug charges, deputies say

A Town of Lincoln pair was arrested on several drug charges on April 19, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

John Hofmeister, 53, and Jennifer Shaughnessy, 42, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, manufacturing methamphetamine in the third degree, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, deputies said.

Hofmeister and Shaughnessy allegedly possessed methamphetamine, methamphetamine laboratory equipment and several plastic bottles containing methamphetamine oils, according to officials.

Deputies say the pair also unlawfully disposed of the materials by burning them in a burn barrel behind their residence.

They were arraigned in Village of Chittenango Court and sent to the Madison County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

Hofmeister and Shaughnessy are scheduled to appear in the town of Lincoln Court on May 3.
