A local effort to help burn victims returns Saturday, November 11, in Rome.

It's called "Fire on Ice," a charity hockey game to benefit the Burn Foundation of Central New York. The event, now in its fifth year, has raised about $20,000 since it began, according to organizers.

Teams from Central New York and Washington, DC will play against each other starting at 4:15 p.m, but before that there will be an open-skating period for people to meet the players at 3 p.m.

A donation of $5 gets you in the door for the "Fire on Ice" event. Proceeds benefit the Burn Foundation of CNY.

The Burn Foundation of CNY covers several counties from the Canadian Boarder all the way down to Pennsylvania.
