Loved ones gather to remember Easter homicide victim

Friends and family came together one day after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed on Syracuse's North Side.

Loved ones gathered for a vigil Monday night on Lodi Street, where Wynban Goddard was shot in the back just after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Goddard was rushed to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Syracuse Police are now investigating to see who was responsible for Goddard's death, marking the fifth homicide of the year in Syracuse.

While officers search for the suspect, Goddard's older sister makes a urgent plea for help.

"I hope we find whoever did it, I hope people just come forward so we can have closure. Give everybody closure who is still looking for you know, the murders of their families," Yolanda Blake, Goddard's sister, said.
