Man stabbed during dispute in Syracuse; police looking for suspect

Syracuse Police are looking for a suspect after a dispute ended with a man stabbed Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they were sent to the 2800 block of S. Salina Street for a stabbing call at about 1:05 p.m. When officers arrived they spoke to a 19-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back of his upper leg area, according to police.

The victim told investigators he was involved in a dispute with a black male in his teens and suffered the injury during the dispute; the victim said this happened on the 100 block of W. Lafayette Avenue.

The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment of injuries that police described as non-life threatening.

Syracuse Police say the stabbing is under investigation and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call 315-442-5222.
