Missing child from South Carolina found near Chenango

CHENANGO, N.Y. (WSTM) - A missing 2-year-old from South Carolina was found near Chenango early Friday morning.

According to New York State Police, the 2-year-old had suffered a gunshot wound to his lower extremities in South Carolina and had not received medical attention.

Officials said they received a description from the Horry County Police Department in South Carolina of the car the child may be traveling in.

Troopers patrolling Interstate 18 spotted the vehicle near exit 6 in the town of Chenango around 12:51 a.m.

Following an investigation, Holly Dew, 24, and Randi Session, 23, both of Conway, South Carolina, were arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.

The toddler was taken to Wilson Hospital where he is in stable condition. Broome County Child Protective Services was contacted, and two other children were turned over as well, officials said.

Dew and Session were arraigned Friday morning in the town of Chenango Court and sent to Broome County Jail on $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.
