Moravia man charged after hit-and-run at Lakeview Amphitheater
A Moravia man is charged after a hit-and-run at St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview last month.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, Martin Barrington was arrested Thursday after intentionally hitting a 31-year-old man with his car back in July.
Investigators said an altercation between Barrington and the victim before Barrington intentionally hit the man with his car before driving away.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he has undergone several surgeries for his injuries, according to deputies.
About two weeks ago, the Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help in identifying the occupants of dark-colored Honda Sedan that struck the victim. With the help of witnesses, the car was located the following day, abandoned in Cayuga County.
Detectives were able to develop suspect information and charge Barrington with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, and leaving the scene of a personal injury automobile accident.
He was arraigned in the Village of Solvay Court and released on his own recognizance.
