The man accused of killing a Utica teenager and posting pictures of her death online has pleaded not guilty.

Brandon Clark, 21, from Bridgeport in Cicero, was arraigned in Oneida County Court Monday and entered a not guilty plea to second-degree murder charges in the death of 17-year-old Bianca Devins.

Family and friends of Bianca Devins filled the courtroom, wearing pink and pins that said “Justice for Bianca,” our partners at WKTV report.

Last week, an Oneida County Grand Jury returned an indictment, which formally charged Clark with the murder of Devins.

He's accused of stabbing her to death in Utica on July 14 after a trip to New York City, and then posting pictures of her body online. Police said the two, who met online, had been romantically involved and known each other for about two months.

Police said Clark stabbed himself as they approached him and they saw him take selfies with the body of Devins.

The murder garnered national attention as many outlets, including CNYCentral, explored the substantial following Devins had built on non-mainstream social media platforms including Discord and 4chan and how they contributed to the disturbing images of her body going viral online.

Clark is being held without bail. His attorney, Luke Nebush, says the investigation is still ongoing.
