Nearly 100 cats create urgent need at CNY SPCA

SPCA takes in 100 cats, asks for donations from the public (CNYCentral).

The Central New York SPCA put out an urgent call for help Wednesday night as it prepared for the arrival of nearly 100 cats.

The staff says this is not related to a cruelty or neglect case, rather the owner agreed to surrender the animals for adoption if the SPCA agreed to withhold their name and the area where the cats came from.

The cats are purebred Persians, the SPCA says.

The breeder of the animals got “overwhelmed,” the SPCA says. Now the agency is in desperate need of dry cat food, water bowls, as well as litter and litter-boxes.

There is a donation bin outside the agency at 5878 East Molloy Road in Mattydale.
