Officials: About 250 cattle killed in Oneida County barn fire

TRENTON, N.Y. — A barn fire in Oneida County Sunday afternoon killed around 250 cattle.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, deputies and fire officials responded to a structure fire at 10306 Whittaker Rd. in the Town of Trenton around 11:08 a.m. Sunday.
Fire personnel at the scene said that the barn was completely destroyed. No humans were injured in the blaze.
Officials said they don't suspect the cause to be suspicious at this time.
Whittaker Rd. was closed for a good portion of the day, and reopened at 5:38 p.m.
The fire remains under investigation.
