15-year-old hospitalized after overnight shooting in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
A 15 year old is in the hospital following an overnight shooting in Syracuse.
According to Syracuse Police, it happened early Friday morning at 12:30 a.m. on Bellevue Avenue, near the intersection of Palmer Avenue.
Police said the teenager was walking in the area with a group of other people when a light colored sedan drove past them and fired several shots. According to police the victim was hit in his lower left leg.
He was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment and is expected to be okay.
Syracuse Police said the vehicle in which the shots were fired from fled the scene.
There is no suspect information at this time.
