One person hurt in overnight shooting in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A 38-year-old man is injured after a shooting on the city's west side.
Syracuse Police Officers responded to Upstate University Hospital in response to a shooting call Tuesday at 9:24 PM.
Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his left thigh. The injury does not appear to be life threatening. The victim told police he was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle after the shooting.
The victim stated that the incident occurred in the 500 block of Avery Avenue.
Officers and Detectives are currently investigating this incident, but there is no suspect information available at this time.
