Oneida Nation to be highlighted at upcoming film events
The Oneida Nation has announced two separate film events taking place the weekend of October 13th and October 14th, in collaboration with both Sundance Institute and Syracuse International Film Festival, respectively.
On Saturday a special evening of film screenings will be presented through a joint initiative with Robert Redford's Sundance Institute as part of the Syracuse International Film Festival program. A 90-minute event will include a curated series of six short films by award-winning filmmakers from around the country, The Oneida Nation said. It will take place at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino beginning at 8 p.m.

On Sunday People of the Standing Stone, a 25-minute documentary narrated by award-winner Kevin Costner, will be shown at 4:45 p.m. at Shemin Auditorium in the Shaffer Art Building at Syracuse University. Tickets cost $10.
The Syracuse Film Festival runs from October 10th thru 14th at various locations around Syracuse.
