Pepsi warehouse in DeWitt set to undergo $6.5 million expansion

Construction will begin later this year to add over 25,000 square feet to the Pepsi warehouse in DeWitt, according to Westlake Development, the redevelopment manager for the project .

The redevelopment project, which is projected to take a year to complete, will expand the site at 6010 Tarbell Road from 100,000 square feet to 126,175 square feet.

The first step in the project is to demolish 15,000 square feet of the existing warehouse and construct a a 13,475 square foot connector addition to a building located at 6600 Deere Road currently occupied by Camfil USA Inc.

Camfil will relocate to another building located at 6060 Tarbell Road, which just underwent a $950,000 renovation.

156 new employee parking spaces, 56 tractor trailer parking spaces, and 14 new loading docks will all be added in the redevelopment project.

“Pepsi Beverages has a long history of doing business in Syracuse. The expansion of our facility there demonstrates our continued commitment to the surrounding communities, and enables us to optimize our ability to better serve our customers and consumers in the area,” a PepsiCo spokesperson said.

The Pepsi properties in DeWitt are owned by Midler Court Realty, LLC of Syracuse.
