Police: 19-year-old man shot on Syracuse's north side

Syracuse Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting on the city's north side.

According to police, officers responded to the area of Herbert Street and Spring Street at 1:22 p.m. Tuesday in regards to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right buttocks area, police said.

He was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment. His injury doesn't appear to be life-threatening, according to police.

The suspect left the area on Spring Street toward Curtis Street in a silver or white vehicle which was reportedly operated by two men, police said.

There is no additional information on suspect description provided to officers.
