Body found near Ithaca Falls on Wednesday identified

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Police have identified the body found in a creek bed near the Ithaca Falls yesterday afternoon as an Ohio man, according to the Ithaca Police Department.

Police say they responded to the Falls at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after someone found the body of 51-year-old Kirk Preuss in the water.

According to the Ithaca Voice, the body was found on the waterbank between the second Stewart Avenue bridge and the large waterfall by Lake Street.
