Police say a man was shot during a large fight in Syracuse early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired on Oak Street near Lodi Street just before 3:00 a.m. They found a large crowd, and several groups of people fighting.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot in the ankle during that fight, and managed to walk to a gas station on Erie Blvd East to try and get help, about five minutes away.

Investigators say the victim wouldn't tell them anything about what happened. There are no leads on a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222. All calls will remain confidential.
