Pounds of marijuana, prescription pills seized following 2 month investigation, police say

Officers seized pounds of marijuana and hundreds of prescription pills following a two-month investigation, according to the Town of DeWitt Police Department.

Officials say officers were dispatched to 1025 Kinne Street on March 10 for a drug complaint. Officers say they recovered over five ounces of prescription narcotic drugs and over 50 ounces of marijuana.

During the investigation, officers say they located a safe with a large number of drugs inside along with evidence linking Michael Boldt,23, to the safe and its contents.

Officers say the safe contained:

  • 8.9 ounces of cocaine
  • 4.7 ounces of crack cocaine
  • 2 pounds of marijuana
  • 13.5 ounces of prescription narcotics
  • Over 90 Suboxone film strips

After the investigation, the Dewitt Police Department executed three search warrants on Wednesday, May 23 at addresses linked to Boldt. He was located in a hotel room in the City of Syracuse. Officers say he possessed 15 hydrocodone pills when he was arrested.

A second warrant was executed at 607 Robinson Street where over two pounds of marijuana, two ounces of cocaine, and several hundred prescription narcotic pills were located.

Officers say the drugs were located inside a safe that was opened with a key found in Boldt's possession when he was taken into custody.

A third warrant was executed at 89 Coolidge Road in North Syracuse where police say they located over five ounces of cocaine, several hundred prescription narcotic pills, and 1.25 pounds of marijuana.

Additionally, Daniel Georgevich, 34, and Eugene Georgevich, 61, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second, third, fourth, and fifth degrees and criminal possession of marijuana in connection to the March 10 search.

Officials say Boldt was charged with:

  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first, second, third, and fifth degrees
  • Multiple counts of criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree
  • Conspiracy in the second degree

Boldt was arraigned in the Town of DeWitt Court. His bail was set at $50,000 or $100,000 bond.
