Prestige Limousine operator pleads not guilty to criminally negligent homicide
COBLESKILL, N.Y. (WRGB) —
Prestige Limousine operator Nauman Hussain pleaded not guilty to criminally negligent homicide in Cobleskill Town Court on Wednesday.
A limo from Prestige was involved in a crash in Schoharie on Saturday that killed 20 people. Authorities say the limo had failed inspection and the driver lacked the appropriate license.
Nauman is the son of Shahed Hussain, the owner of Prestige Limousine. State Police say Nauman operated the business in the Capital Region.
The judge set bail at $50,000 cash, $100,000 bond. She also required Nauman Hussain to surrender any passports he may have.
His attorney said that they do expect to post bail on Wednesday.
