Price Chopper/Market 32 kick off juvenile diabetes fundraiser
The month of January will be dedicated to fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at Price Chopper/Market 32. Customers will have the option to round up their change at the register to make a donation to the JDRF. This campaign will feature Jake, a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 2017.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading global organization funding T1D research. The foundations focus is on T1D exclusively and influencing the global effort to end the disease. T1D is an aggressive autoimmune disease that prevents the production of insulin in children and adults. This form of diabetes does not have any known cause or cure.
“JDRF has made incredible strides for those managing T1D by advocating for Federal research funding, regulatory frameworks that encourage innovation and affordable access to new therapies,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper/Market 32’s vice president of public relations and consumer services. We are grateful that so many Price Chopper/Market 32 customers and teammates joined in the effort to support their good work.”
All proceeds will benefit the JDRF. Customers will have the opportunity to donate throughout the month of January at Price Chopper/Market 32 locations.
