Quite quiet for the first day of summer. What’s next for Balloonfest & the Zac Brown Band?
Good morning! Here is what you need to know before you go.
I am monitoring a very weak cool front and disturbance moving across the North Country at sunrise and will drop southward across central New York through the course of the day. Overall, the best chance for any showers will be across the far North Country and the Adirondacks early to mid-morning. Otherwise, expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Any localized valley fog will burn off.
Early morning temperatures are mainly in the 50s early this morning, but should rise into the upper 60s by the end of the morning.
During the afternoon, expect sunshine with fair weather cumulus clouds. There will likely be extra sunshine through the course of the afternoon. It will be comfortable with low humidity.
Temperatures should rise into lower to middle 70s for most areas and lower elevations. Highs will stay in the 60s near the south shore of Lake Ontario.
I have attached a video forecast showing an hour-by-hour progression of today’s weather hour-by-hour and place-by-place across central New York.
The Jamesville Balloonfest is happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plus, the sold-out Zac Brown Band concert I have included another video forecast showing the hour-by-hour forecast for both of these events, as well as the “Dog Walking” forecast for today.
