DICKINSON, NY — A Syracuse man was killed in an explosion at a Speedway gas station in the town of Dickinson on Friday, according to State Police.
The explosion happened around 1:41 p.m. at the Speedway at 704 Old Front St, according to authorities.
State Police say that the victim, Arthur Hines, 57, from Syracuse, was cleaning an underground tank at the Speedway gas station when the explosion occurred.
Hines was working for the Syracuse affiliate of Environmental Product and Services of Vermont.
Authorities do not know what caused the explosion.
