Reward increased for info that leads to arrest in dog abandonment case
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in a local dog abandonment case.
Syracuse Police say the dog was found in a cage on the 500 block of Columbus Avenue in the city. The dog appeared to be older and deaf, police said. It's possible he was caged for long periods of time and may have been thrown from a vehicle before he was found, police said.
The dog was in rough shape when he was found, according to police; the dog was covered in feces, was underweight and had long toe nails which appeared to be causing him pain.
Syracuse Police are investigating the case and ask anyone with information to call them at 315-442-5336.
Cuse Pit Crew is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
