Police name woman shot & killed Monday on S. Salina Street

Police said a woman shot on S. Salina St. Monday night has died (CNYCentral Photo).

Update: 8:45 p.m. Tuesday - Syracuse Police have named the woman who was killed Monday night on S. Salina St.

The victim is identified by police as Juanita Schley, 34, of Syracuse.

Two adults, one man and one woman, were shot in the 2000 block of South Salina St. near Wood Ave. around 7:45 p.m.

They were taken to Upstate University Hospital with injuries, and according to police, the Schley died from her injuries.

Police said the man is listed in fair condition. His name has not been released.

"This investigation is still very active and ongoing," a release from Syracuse police said Tuesday.
