School to honor fallen New York State Trooper
CANISTEO, N.Y. (WETM) —
The high school New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark attended will be honoring him with a special ceremony Tuesday.
The Canisteo-Greenwood High School wrestling program is honoring Trooper Clark's legacy with a new wrestling mat.
While attending the school, Clark was a New York State Champion wrestler in 2006. Clark also played football for the high school and for Alfred University. He also tried out for Buffalo Bills at one time.
The mat dedication ceremony will be held Jan. 8th at 6 p.m. at the high school's gymnasium.
Trooper Clark was killed in the line of duty in July of 2018 while responding to a domestic dispute in the Town of Erwin.
