Search resumes for Sodus Point woman missing since 1991, daughter is hopeful
Sodus Point, N.Y. (WHAM) —
The search for a missing woman last seen in Sodus Point nearly 30 years ago is active again.
The daughter of Judith Geurin, who was last seen in 1991, tells us that over the weekend, a tip lead deputies to search an area in Sodus Point where her mother lived.
Judith's daughter, Amy Kusaywa, lives in Albany.
She spoke to 13WHAM via phone, saying she's grateful for the tip, adding that she is hopeful her mother's remains will be found.
"I totally believe that her case will be solved," said Kusaywa. "The responsible party will be prosecuted. That's my firm belief and I've had it going on 28-years," she said.
Kusaywa says she hopes more tips come in.
The Wayne County Sheriff is asking anyone with information on Judith's case to contact his office at 315-946-9711.
