Syracuse police officer shoots female suspect; Chief to hold news conference Monday

Syracuse Police respond to Frisbie Ct. for a dispute involving a weapon.

The Syracuse Police Department said it's investigating an officer-involved shooting.

It happened around 6 p.m on. Sunday evening at Frisbie Ct. in Syracuse which is next to Upstate University Hospital.

Police were first called for a dispute involving a weapon. During the incident, police said an officer fired their weapon hitting a female suspect.

She was transported to Upstate University Hospital in stable condition.

UPDATE 10:00 a.m. Monday: Chief Kenton Buckner will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. to give an update on the investigation.
