Silvery sky this morning gives way to sunshine. What’s new through the holiday weekend?
Good morning! Here is what you need to know before you go.
Everyone will be waking up to an overcast sky. Some parts of CNY have areas of patchy dense fog. If you have dense fog in your area, slow down while driving and use your hazards. Either way, the late May sunshine will work on burning off the cloud coverage and fog throughout the morning. Temperatures will stay in the 50s while clouds and fog hold tough.
For the afternoon, expect brightening skies with eventually sunny skies developing across our entire area. Temperatures will increase rapidly through the 60s. Expect a late afternoon high temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s across most of our area. However, closer to Lake Ontario, high temperatures will likely stop between 60 and 65.
I have attached a video forecast showing an hour-by-hour progression of today’s weather place-by-place across central New York that will show the clouds giving way to sunshine and the difference in high temperatures today.
Plenty of sunshine is on tap for Thursday and Friday. Thursday should be seasonable and fantastic temperature-wise. Friday should have above average summery numbers.
New information about the holiday weekend shows very warm and summery weather likely for Saturday with still fairly warm weather for Sunday and Memorial Day Monday. But how about weather conditions?
