SPD: Man in critical condition after shooting on Syracuse's North Side

A man is in critical condition after being shot in his back late Sunday afternoon on Syracuse's North Side, according to Syracuse Police.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Lodi Street, near E. Division Street just after 5:00 in regards to a shooting.

When police arrived to the scene they found a man in his twenties suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses on the scene told police that the suspect was possibly a black man wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and light colored pants. He reportedly left the scene on foot, heading south on Lodi Street.
