State Fair and Chevrolet announce 3-year sponsorship extension

The New York State Fair and Chevrolet announced a three-year extension of Chevrolet’s sponsorship agreement with the Fair Monday.

The three-year, $525,000 extension begins immediately and will involve re-branding the Fair’s two main music stages into a single festival.

The new Chevrolet Music Festival at Chevy Court and the Experience Stage will create a festival with more than 75 performances.

The festival will include free shows from acts like Blondie, Counting Crows, Smokey Robinson, Niall Horan, Eddie Money, Hanson, All Time Low and many more. Chevrolet will also continue to provide trucks to pull the Fair’s continuous trams, which are free of charge to fair-goers.

“We are pleased to be able to deepen our relationship with a great American brand such as Chevrolet. This partnership has been great for fair-goers as we have been able to bring more top quality national touring groups than ever to Chevy Court and eliminate fees on our trams. We thank Chevrolet for helping us to grow one of the nation’s greatest state fairs and look forward to the next three years,” Troy Waffner, Acting Fair Director said.

The New York State Fair runs from August 22 to September 3, 2018.
