SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Becoming a domestic violence survivor has led ArDenay Garner on a personal journey but it has also given her strength to help others.
“It has been a seven-year journey. My experience of domestic violence. I believe that I went through it and survived it so that I could help someone else go through it," said Garner, who is also a certified professional coach, speaker and social worker in the Syracuse area.
Recently, Garner authored "Divine Invitations – The 7 Spiritual Lessons of Relationships" to make her own experiences accessible to others.
"I hold steadfast to my faith and purpose-driven mission to be an encourager to everyone I encounter," Garner said.
During February, Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, many support agencies are asking people of all ages to be aware of the signs and dangers of domestic violence.
